I've included Travel in my packages for any wedding less than 1 hour away from Greensboro, NC. If you're getting married outside of the Carolinas’ just let me know and we can work something out :)

MY APPROACH

The coverage of your wedding is divided into three categories: documenting, Formals, and portraits

documenting, takes up the majority of the day. It's where I'm mainly "behind the scenes" waiting to capture moments before they happen. by knowing the wedding day timeline, i’m able to move around & Capture A lot and even help create some fun. quite often you would think that there was more than one photographer at the wedding where it was only me. 

Formals, are the most traditional and are usually designated right after the wedding ceremony. These are important so I do not neglect them but I don’t want this time to take away from any of your other special Wedding day plans :) I do value when appropriate time is given for me to capture your family. After all, everyone is together in one place, at one time, which is often a once in a lifetime event.  These are definitely the photos that will be hanging on mom's wall. 

Portraits! this is where magic happens. I just love this time! You’ve just finished saying your “I Dos” and I get to sneak you two away where you can be alone, completely wrapped up in your love and have some fun in front of the camera. Here I get the opportunity to capture your first intimate interactions as newlyweds. I am more hands on, giving light/ posing direction but where it feels natural and fun. My goal is to  capture your unique love story, where you have a blast creating these wonderful memories and forget the camera is even there. feel free to let loose, be Adventurous, be in love but simply be your wonderful selves and have “your fun”. your photos should not only reflect how you looked, where you were and what you did but also your Unbelievable love and emotion - they should transport you back to your incredible experience with your one and only. If that is something that excites you, we'll be a perfect fit.

ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Engagement sessions are a Chance for the Two of you to go on a little date and the best place for you to become familiar with my shooting and directing style. Everything I mentioned about portraits on your wedding day applies to these sessions. They are my favorite because we have 1.5 hours of unrestrained time to create a fun experience where you can’t help but smile, laugh, and let your Personalities shine through. As much as I love all forms of photography, couples are my favorite thing to shoot because the subject is not just you or your fiancé, it’s the connection between the two of you. I’ve been asked if having a drink beforehand or bringing one on to the shoot is okay and i will encourage either option. there’s nothing wrong with calming your nerves a bit, it’s natural, but that’s what i’m there for to make you forget about the camera and just be completely wrapped up with each other.

A second photographer

present on your wedding day offers a different visual perspective to tell the story of your day. It also helps when you need coverage in two places at the same time. This is something that gets asked about a lot and 90% of the people who ask about it surprisingly don’t need a second shooter. Just ask about this and I’m happy to explain in further detail. I work with other established professional photographers whose work I've approved. 

TERMS & POLICIES

Ordering of prints and other products is done via an online shopping cart system, which is easily accessible through your own photo gallery. These prints/ products are produced by a professional printing lab studio that i Approve. I accept Visa and MasterCard. All Images remain the property of V. Short Photography. Prices and products are subject to change.
